The last post of 2017. Here it is folks.

I actually cracked the 250 posts a couple of days ago. Yay me!

It’s going to be a short one because I don’t want to be anti social. I’m sitting with my parents on their deck with a couple they have known for 35 years. They are family.

This is where it’s at people. Here’s to 2018!

After a crazy 18 months of renovating and watching all our time and money get poured into our house, Hubs and I were really looking forward to renting again.

After spending the last 6 hours (on and off) filling out an online rental application for a house we haven’t even looked at yet, I’m starting to wonder.

I had to provide “professional references” from some kind of previous employment. I had to take photos of ID to send. I had to find out phone numbers and addresses of people and places from the last 5 years.

The market is brutal! Maybe owning a house isn’t so bad after all.

It’s nearly the new year people! Five blog posts and I’ve hit my 250 in 2017 target. I think I’m going to make it!

I would like to have written some longer posts this year but most of my blogs have been written on my phone and it’s just too tedious and painful.

Hubs and I have big plans for our next house. First priority for me is to set up the desk and study nicely and neatly so it’s conducive to me sitting down and writing more.

Big plans I tell you. We are on the same page in terms of wanting to reduce the amount of stuff we have, and then keeping the place more tidy and enjoying more time with the kids instead of spending all of our time picking sh*t up off the floor.

We are also tightening the purse strings a bit to help us pay off some debt and not be in such a hurry to spend our hard earned money.

Big plans people. I’ll be doing a recap post in the next few days. Stay tuned….

The kids got all dressed up for a photo with Santa today. Their idea, not mine. Not that I minded taking them, I just wasn’t that committed to it, but they were keen so off we went!

This happened on the way.

I figured the nap would be good for them!

Then around 3pm we arrived at the shopping centre only to find that Santa had finished up at 2pm.

But we still got our photo! Pretty happy with that effort!

And I got the same as last time and gosh it feels good!

Not sure how, in my (late) 30s all of a sudden I have wavey hair!? It’s awesome!
